For some unknown reason, even though I had heard “every kid is different” a million times, it did not sink into my brain. We successfully made it through one whole newborn stage. We knew what we were doing.

When Eli was 9 months old, we found out we were unexpectedly expecting our third baby in three years.

Our kid, just like your kid, doesn’t need to have a “special” ability to make him interesting or to make his autism ok. At the end of the day, I worry about all three of my kid’s futures for the same reasons. Luckily for me, I only have to answer weird questions about one of them.

And just like that, I came full circle.
